Project parameters
Capital Works Management Framework, Guidance Note, Glossary, Published by the Government of Ireland Department of Finance in 2009 suggests there are 16 common parameters that make up project definition:
- Objectives.
- Purpose.
- Scope.
- Deliverables.
- Performance.
- Assumptions.
- Governance.
- Options.
- Risks.
- Value Management.
- Plan.
- Functional Life.
- Design.
- Location.
- Budget.
- Constraints.
It suggests that project definition activities refine, improve and quantify these parameters before the project advances to the determination of a procurement strategy.
